If you’d like to take part in the Collective as a designer, just grab a notecard from one of our Sales Event info boards (located at the Woeful Wednesday Headquarters or any participating shop), open it up and look for a second notecard entitled “Woeful Wednesday Merchant Application.” Once you’ve found that, fill it out and drop it into the mailbox at the Woeful Wednesday Headquarters. You will hear from someone as soon as possible.

You most certainly can. All of our designers are given invitation rights for the public group. You are also welcome to pass on a designer application to anyone that you think might be a good fit with the designer group.

The last thing we want is for anyone to feel they’re trapped in a box (unless it’s for purely recreational purposes >.>), so we encourage all designers involved in the Woeful Wednesday Collective to interpret the theme in whatever way they feel compelled to do so. What’s most important to us is that the creations offered in the weekly event aren’t the sort of thing you could find at half the shops on the grid. Additionally, we hope to collectively emphasize the notion that horrifying beauty and macabre sentiments are not, in any way whatsoever, limited to vampires. Need more? Generally, you should hear back from someone within 48 hours of submitting an application.  On rare occasion it may take a bit longer.  Even if the creator list is full or your creations don’t quite fit the theme of the group, we will always get in touch with you to let you know.

If you submit a designer application and we turn it down, it’s almost always because your creations, however lovely, don’t entirely flow with the Woeful Wednesday mission. One of us will contact you to explain this (we’ll never just decline an application and neglect to let you know why).

The Woeful Wednesday Weekly Sales Event only features 40 designers at a time. If your application has been accepted, but all 40 designer spots are filled, we won’t be able to add your name to our weekly list until a spot opens up. This usually happens when a designer leaves Woeful Wednesday altogether or needs to take a significant amount of time off for personal reasons. Basically, if all 40 spots are taken, your shop gets put on a “waiting list.” It doesn’t mean we don’t want you with us!

We here at Woe feel any more than 40 would be a little out of hand for a 1 day shopping event. Keeping the event limited to a certain number of designers also adds a touch of exclusivity to it which, we believe, adds greatly to the excitement and experience of being involved. We want our designers to feel as though they’re part of a “family,” not a mega-mart.

Yes! Once you’ve been invited to the group and given a Woeful Wednesday info board, you’re utterly free to start participating in the event. Our sale begins at 12:00 AM SLT every Tuesday night/Wednesday morning and lasts a full 24 hours. Additionally, if time constraints prevent you from setting out an item close to the start of the day, please go right ahead and set it out early. We won’t complain.

That is entirely up to you. As long as there’s a creation in your shop marked down to L$50 for the event, we’re happy.

No, they should not be set to the group. We’ll also be offering shoppers a subscriber option that will not require using a Second Life group. If you have your item set to group only those shoppers would not be able to purchase it.

There are several ways to get answers within Woe. Put your question into a NC and drop it into our mailbox at the Woeful Wednesday Headquarters. Open up group chat and see if a moderator or owner is online. Poke Sam or Snow or Taydra… and ask directly… The possibilities, as they say, are quite endless. <3
